What To Expect:

The United States immigration law requires immigrant visa applicants to obtain certain vaccinations prior to the issuance of an immigrant visa.

Most individuals will need 2 visits.

During the first visit, we will perform the medical examination, review your vaccination records and provide you with Lab orders needed to complete your application.  You will also receive immunization shots and vaccines if necessary.

During your second visit, the doctor will review your lab work results, if all required documents are present, you will be provided with a sealed envelop to present to USCIS.

Required Blood and urine Testing

  • Syphilis (RPR) – Blood test, required for everyone 15 years of age and over
  • Tuberculosis blood Test (IGRA)– required for everyone to be negative. CXR might be needed according to lab results and clinical exam
  • HIV: ( optional): blood test, (2nd /3rd generation)
  • Gonorrhea: required 18-24 yrs old, older or younger if needed: Urine test, gonorrhea nucleic acid amplification test (NAAT)
  • MMR: documented proof of vaccination may be replaced by positive lab test proving immunity
  • Hepatitis B: documented proof of vaccination may be replaced by positive lab test proving immunity
  • Varicella (Chickenpox): Documented proof for vaccination, lab test may replace vaccination

Required Vaccinations:

  • COVID-19 Vaccine: Both doses of Pfizer, or Both doses of Moderna, or 1 Dose of Johnson & Johnson. (NEW REQUIREMENT)
  • Hepatitis B: 0 through 17 years of age
  • DTP/DTaP: 4 weeks through 6 years of age
  • Polio: 4 weeks through 17 years of age
  • Hib: 4 weeks through 6 years of age
  • Pneumonia: 4 weeks through 6 years of age & 50 + during flu season
  • Hepatitis A: 12 through 23 months of age
  • MMR: 12 months through 49 years of age
  • Varicella: 12 months of age and up
  • Tdap: 18 years of age and up
  • Td: 65 years of age and up
